About BamJimba Productions

In 1999 Jim Bamber AKA The Fatman AKA Jimba AKA DJ Phat Bassa etc. etc. .... lost a good friend in Rastaman Papa Wade McKinney, who died from Sickle Cell Disorder complications. Bamjimba's first CD "I Love" was made in order to donate to the UK Sickle Cell Soc. charity .... a success (Mr Bamber was even invited to an award reception at 10 Downing St!)

From this success he ventured into the digital media world with an online only EP "Wakey Wakey Wake Up" featuring tracks mixed by The Mad Professor at Ariwa in London.

The first CD was mainly instrumental because, honestly, we didn't have a vocalist. Now we do!! El Fata is originally from Nigeria .... via the Ivory Coast .... and what a vocalist .... what a frontman .... what a songwriter .... what a star ....!! Check him out and a host of the usual suspects, but also including Rico Rodriguez, Dennis Bovell and MCs Jah Ducks and General Sensi on the new Bamjimba CD "Routes"

In 2007 Jim was diagnosed with cancer....but working from home he is producing the third CD in the trilogy "Into The Dance" for release in 2009. He has also released a charity single in aid of ex-child soldiers worldwide....entitled "Lay Down Your Arms and Dance". Go to the Buy Music page for all this....

Peace and serenity to you ....

The Fatman (August 2008)
